About 1500 policemen are to be deployed for this Saturday’s Dutsi/Mashi House of Representatives supplementary rerun election in Katsina State.
The state police command spokesman, DSP Gambo Isah, who disclosed this to news men, said the police were to be supported by men and officers of other security formations in the state.
He called for maximum cooperation from all stakeholders during and after the exercise.
Earlier, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Jibril Zarewa, had met with the Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Wakili, where he solicited his support towards a successful exercise.
